NASJE Participates in the 2024 Racial Justice Education Workshop

As part of ongoing work under the Conference of Chief Justices (CCJ), Conference of State Court Administrators (COSCA), and National Center for State Courts’ (NCSC) Blueprint for Racial Justice initiative, 16 states’ Judicial Educators, Judges, and Diversity Equity and Inclusion (DEI) Directors were invited to participate in the first of, I hope many, workshops on improving racial justice education in the courts.

CTC 23 through the Eyes of a Judicial Educator

I observed a heavy focus on Artificial Intelligence (AI) and its role in improving accessibility for litigants and court staff. As a judicial educator, I found the sessions that addressed applying limited resources and existing systems to help meet the courts’ rapidly evolving training needs particularly valuable.

A healthy democracy depends upon a strong judicial branch of government. NASJE works to strengthen the third branch by providing education so that judges have the knowledge, skills and abilities they need to do their jobs and maintain the trust and confidence of the people they serve. Our membership is open to anyone who is interested in judicial branch education.
